—whitby conference:
_a live brief from the whitby conference asked for all hnd graphic design students to come up with a new corporate identity for the art and design conference_my identity has two variations one in colour and one in black and white_the identity is likely to be photocopied and so a simple one colour design was vital
_the circle represents the idea of community and seating arrangements at the conference (as food is served, people sit around a table)_a quarter of the circle has been removed to suggest the open, non-exclusive nature of the conference
_i have used a semi-bold version of the typeface (baskerville) for the word 'whitby' which adds contrast to the logo, it also places emphasis on the conference's unusual location_i have continued with the bold theme in the poster and through other promotional material for the company
_the design has currently been selected along with two other designs, they will be analysed further before a final solution is chosen
